Rubberband-Olde Punk of RamJet Poetry

Olde Punk dazzles

RamJet Poetry

rubberband

So many times, I have given it away

passion play

cut my cloth heart

into ribbons

Heartlessly presenting them as

presents for the present

rubber band man snapping

back to start

Play my part, I’m not that smart

and away I go with the next tart

I just need a jumpstart

ripping off rhymes so many times

no longer in my prime

I’m a windchime miming for dimes

hoping to earn some of your time

sex crimes at nighttime

What can I say?

What do I do to you

to get through when you threw me

all into this queue in which I stand

askew and I stew about the view

and the chance I blew

to dance with you

cloth heart ribbons wrapped up

my rubber band hands

snapping me back to start
